US gaming revenue up 4,9% in August 2023

Combined revenue from slot machines, table games and bookmakers of land-based casinos, as well as online bets made in the United States in August 2023 amounted to $ 5.14 billion, this follows from the report published the other day by the American Gaming Association (AGA), which provides data for 33 states and the Federal District of Columbia.
The revenue generated was 4.9% higher than the same period last year.
Slot machine revenue totaled $2.95 billion, showing an increase of 1.0%. Casino table games brought in $822.4 million (+1.7%), while sports betting brought in $583.1 million (+21.2%). Online gambling revenue reached $495.8 million, up 23.4% year-on-year.
In the first eight months of 2023, the US gambling industry generated $43.15 billion in revenue, up 10.4% from a year earlier.
