Gaming industry spurs $328.6 billion in US economy in 2022. This follows from the report of the American Gaming Association (AGA), published the other day.
According to the content of the document, the total revenue of commercial casinos in the United States for 2022 amounted to 150.3 billion dollars. 83.1% of casino revenue came from gaming activities, while the remaining 16.9% came from non-gaming services.
The gaming sector provided jobs to 1.8 million people. At the same time, the gaming industry employed over 700,000 people and the country's commercial casinos employed 332,000 people.
In 2022, the country's budget received $52.7 billion in taxes from the gambling industry, which is 29% more than in 2017.
Currently, there are 478 commercial and 527 tribal casinos in the US. Legal sports betting is accepted in 38 states.
