Spain's gross gaming revenue up by 55% in Q2 2023

Spain's gross gambling revenue for the second quarter of 2023 totalled €312.6 million. This follows from the report of the General Directorate for the organisation of gambling (DGOJ).
According to the contents of the document, the revenue grew by 55.6% compared to the same period last year. The growth compared to the previous quarter was 2.52%.
Online casino revenues totalled €149.9 million. Revenues from sports betting reached €133.3 million.
Poker revenues reached €27.3 million, showing an increase of 24.9%. Poker revenues totalled €25.7 million.
Operators spent €96.6 million on marketing. More than half of this amount (€49m) was spent on promotions.
During the quarter, there were 1,134,993 monthly active gaming accounts in Spain. At the same time, there were 78 licensed gambling operators in the country.
