NY online sports betting grew 27% in August 2023

In August 2023, sports betting handle in the US state of New York exceeded $1.1 billion. This follows from the Gambling Commission's report, published on the regulator's website last Friday.
Sports betting handle is up 27.5% compared to the same period in 2022, when the figure was $872 million. Compared to July 2023, sports betting handle increased by 14.3%.
Online sports betting revenue was $98.5 million, down 1.1% from the same period last year, when online sportsbooks generated $99.6 million in revenue. Online sports betting revenue is at its lowest level since July 2022.
The leader in online betting handle was the operator DraftKings, which accepted $447 million in bets. The operator's income amounted to $35.4 million.
FanDuel accepted $409 million in bets and generated $42 million in revenue.
The top three was closed by Caesars Sportsbook, which accepted $120 million in bets and received $9.6 million in revenue.
