More than 1300 suspicious matches detected by Sportradar in 2023

1,329 suspicious matches have been identified by Sportradar using the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) in 2023. This is according to a report by the data and sports betting provider published the other day.
The number of identified suspicious matches was the highest in Sportradar's 19-year history. The previous peak of 1,212 suspicious matches was reached in 2022. The number of suspicious matches detected increased by 9% compared to the previous year.
Suspicious matches related to 11 sports. The highest number of suspicious matches belonged to soccer (880). This was followed by basketball (205) and table tennis (70).
667 suspicious matches were played in Europe. Asia (302) and South America (225) were also in the top three in terms of the number of suspicious matches detected. The total number of countries in which suspicious matches were identified amounted to 105.
In total, Sportradar tracked around 850,000 events covering 70 sports during 2023,
