Kangwon Land Casino gaming revenue down 3% in 4Q 2023

Gross gaming revenue at Kangwon Land Casino, South Korea's only casino that lets locals in, totalled 313.8 billion South Korean won ($236 million) in the fourth quarter of 2023. This follows a report released the other day by the casino operator.
Compared to the same period last year, the operator's revenue decreased by 2.8 per cent. When compared to the previous quarter, revenue fell by 10.2 per cent.
Revenue from mass tables totalled 151.4 billion South Korean won in the second quarter, down 8.7 per cent from the previous quarter and 2.6 per cent from a year earlier.
Membership Club revenue was 32.0 billion won, down 24.0% quarter-on-quarter and 4.5% year-on-year.
Slot machines generated revenue of 130.5 billion South Korean won, down 7.8% from the third quarter of 2023 and 2.6% from the same period last year.
The number of visits to Kangwon Land casinos in the fourth quarter of 2023 was 569,957, down 11.3 per cent from the previous quarter.
