IBIA issued 50 alerts about suspicious bets in the second quarter of 2023

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) issued 50 alerts about suspicious bets in the second quarter of 2023. This is mentioned in the organization's latest report.
The number of alerts decreased by 12 or 16.6% compared to the same period last year and by 20% when compared to the previous quarter of the current year.
The alerts about suspicious bets covered 9 sports and involved 21 countries. 34 of them originated from Europe, 7 from Africa, 6 from South America, and 2 from North America.
The majority of alerts were received from the United Kingdom (9).
Football (soccer) took the lead with the highest number of alerts (19), surpassing tennis (14) and table tennis (8). There were five alerts for darts, and one each for esports, bowls, boxing, and badminton.
