IBIA issued 184 alerts about suspicious bets in 2023

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) issued 184 suspicious bet warnings in 2023. This is stated in a new report from the organization.
The number of warnings decreased by 101 or 35% compared to 2022.
Suspicious betting alerts covered 14 sports. The leader in the number of warnings was football (63), ahead of tennis (54) and table tennis (22). 17 warnings were for darts, seven for e-sports, five for basketball, three each for cricket, bowls, boxing and billiards. Another warning each applied to greyhound racing, snooker, volleyball and badminton.
113 warnings came from Europe, 19 from South America. Asia accounted for 17 warnings, Africa - 16, North America - 12. As for countries, the largest number of warnings was received from the Czech Republic (18).
