France's gambling revenue hit a record high in FY 2022

France's gross gaming revenue (GGR) in fiscal year 2022 reached €12.9bn. This follows from a report published last Wednesday by French regulator L'Autorité nationale des Jeux (ANJ).
According to the contents of the document, revenue grew by 20.0% compared to the same period last year.
€2.59bn in revenue came from land-based casinos and gaming clubs. Of this amount, €2.48bn was attributable to casinos, up 130% from a year earlier. Revenue from gaming clubs rose 189 per cent to €107 million.
€2.17bn of revenue was attributable to online gambling. This figure included €1.38bn generated from online sports betting, €442m from online poker and €346m from online horse racing betting.
Monopoly operators Française des Jeux (FDJ) and Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU) generated a total of €8.20bn in revenue.
