The income of the gambling operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ), which has a monopoly on the organization of lotteries and sports betting in France, reached 1.289 billion euros in the first half of 2023. This follows from the company's report published the other day.

According to the content of the document, compared to the same period in 2022, income increased by 6.0%.

958 million euros of revenue came from lotteries, which is 1% more than in the first half of 2022. Revenue from sports betting increased by 10%, amounting to 257 million euros.

EBITDA, equal to the volume of profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization expenses, amounted to 300 million euros.

The operator's net profit increased by 13% to 181 million euros.

"FDJ recorded solid results in the first half of the year, driven by a good increase in stakes in our network of 30,000 points of sale, a sustained dynamic in digital stakes and the integration of new activities. I am also delighted with the acquisition of Premier Lotteries Ireland, the operator of the Irish national lottery and a long-standing partner in the Euromillions community. Becoming the operator of a foreign lottery marks another major step in the FDJ Group's international development", - said Stephane Pallez, Chairman and CEO of FDJ, commenting on the publication of the results
