Access to websites of unlicensed online gambling operators will be blocked in Armenia. The relevant decree was published on 21 December on the website of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The document was approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Thursday. It amends a number of legislative acts in force in the country.
As follows from the resolution, the activity of accepting online bets from Armenian residents will be allowed only to companies that have obtained a lottery operator's licence in accordance with the legislation in force in the country. In addition, it is proposed to allow non-citizens of the country to make online bets on the websites of operators licensed in Armenia. At the same time, acceptance of bets and payment of winnings may be made in foreign currency.
